No bids for Hernandez, says Leverkusen director

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller insists the Bundesliga club have not received any bids for star striker Javier Hernandez.

The Mexico international has been heavily linked with a move away from Leverkusen ever since he made the switch from Manchester United in August 2015.

Hernandez, 28, has entered the final 18 months of his existing deal with the German side and there has been reported interest from Chelsea, although the club’s sporting director, Rudi Voller, insists no bids have been made thus far.

“There is no approach at the minute,” Voller told Kicker, via Get German Football.

Hernandez was in tremendous form for Leverkusen last season, scoring 17 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances. However, the former United frontman has struggled to reproduce last season’s performances this time around and is currently on a sever drought in front of goal.

He has managed five goals in 15 league appearances, but he has failed to score in his last 1,005 minutes of league action.
