Ibrahimovic signs new AC Milan deal

AC Milan have confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic has inked a new 12-month extension keeping him at the club for the 2020/21 campaign.

There were doubts whether Ibrahimovic, who turns 39 in October, would continue at Milan after his six-month deal expired with the Serie A giants at the end of last season.

The former Manchester United striker was a revelation for Milan during the second half of last season and rolled back the years with tremendous goalscoring displays.

Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, even rubbished suggestions his client had renewed with Milan only last week but the former Sweden international has now signed on for another year.

Of players that made at least 10 appearances in Serie A last season, only six garnered a better WhoScored rating than Ibrahimovic (7.51).

Ibrahimovic, who will wear the No.11 jersey for Milan next season, remarkably played a direct hand in 15 goals in 18 league appearances, with only four players managing more across the entire division in 2020.
