Mesut Ozil will force through a return to Real Madrid if Arsenal fail to meet his contract demands, report Bild, via ESPN.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has previously confirmed negotiations are under way with Ozil’s camp but the demands are reportedly clear.
The Germany international not only wants a pay rise from £140,000-a-week to £200,000-a-week but is also demanding the No.10 jersey, which is currently taken by Jack Wilshere.
Ozil is reportedly also looking for assurances about the future of the team and wants Arsenal to guarantee they will continue to invest in world-class players in future windows.
Should Arsenal fail to meet his demands then Ozil will reportedly seek a return to Madrid, three years after leaving to become Arsenal’s club transfer record.
Since the start of last season Ozil has registered at least four more assists than any other player in the Premier League (19).
