West Brom given renewed hope in pursuit of Camacho

West Brom’s pursuit of Ignacio Camacho is not dead quite yet after contract talks with Malaga stalled, reports Marca, via Football Espana.

The Premier League outfit held talks with Malaga before the start of the season with a view to signing the 26-year-old only for the deal to collapse.

Camacho, who has less than three years remaining on his existing deal, has been in talks with the Spanish outfit about a contract renewal, although there has been no development since September.

Malaga are understood not to be able to offer the midfielder the same financial riches as West Brom would be able to, which has fuelled speculation that West Brom could make a new bid for Camacho in January when the transfer window re-opens.

Since the start of the season Camacho has completed more interceptions than any other player in La Liga (51).
