United ponder £23.3m move for Italy striker

Manchester United are weighing up a £23.3m move for Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi, according to Tutto Mercato Web, via The Daily Mirror.

Berardi, 21, has been mooted as one of the most exciting players currently plying their stride in Serie A and has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also reported to be tracking the Italy striker, but all could be foiled with Juventus expected to exercise their €18m (£14m) buyback clause in the summer.

Having scored 31 goals in his first two Serie A campaigns, Berardi had averaged a goal every 157 minutes prior to the start of this season, but he has found goals harder to come by this season, with each of his six league goals coming every 250 minutes.
