Borussia Dortmund eye sensational move for Tottenham target

Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha this summer, claims Sky Sports.

Zaha has been heavily linked with a move away from Palace in the last 12 months after developing into one of the best players outside the Premier League’s ‘top six’.

Tottenham bid for the former Manchester United winger 12 months ago and now Mauricio Pochettino’s side could face competition from Dortmund for his signature.

The Bundesliga outfit are on the verge of selling Andriy Yarmolenko to West Ham and have identified Zaha as a potential replacement for the Ukraine international.

Palace are determined to secure Zaha’s long-term services but the 25-year-old has reportedly already rejected a contract offer from the Eagles this summer that would have made him the best paid player in the club’s history.

Tottenham have been put off by Palace’s valuation of the Ivory Coast international and it seems unlikely Dortmund would be willing to entertain Zaha’s £70m price tag.

Roy Hodgson’s side have a strong bargaining position as Zaha only signed a new five-year deal in May 2017.

Only Eden Hazard (308) has completed more dribbles than Zaha (261) in the last two Premier League campaigns.
