Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is holding a meeting at the club’s London headquarters to discuss Louis van Gaal’s future, according to The Sun.
Pressure has been intensifying on Van Gaal’s position in recent days after United dropped out of the top four after slipping to their third straight defeat at home to Norwich on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from Chelsea last week has left the Dutchman’s position even more precarious with various reports speculating how many games Van Gaal has left to try to turn it around at Old Trafford.
United have been in terrible form in recent months and have only managed to score 11 goals in their last 13 matches.
They had been managing to salvage results thanks to their formidable defensive record, but even that has gone lately. In fact, United have conceded more goals in their last three matches (7) than they had in their previous 11 matches combined (6).
