Martinez quiet on talk about Chelsea goalkeeper

Everton manager Roberto Martinez was tight lipped when questioned about his interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

With Tim Howard expected to return to MLS at the end of the season, Everton will need to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer and there have been suggestions Martinez will move for Begovic, who is No.2 for Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea.

However, Martinez refused to comment on those reports when quizzed about his thoughts for the summer.

“Nothing to comment. The window is closed,” the Everton boss is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

From August 2009 to the start of this season, only two goalkeepers had made more saves in the Premier League than Begovic (476). The Bosnia international, however, has only featured once since November for Chelsea.
