Bayern Munich agree deal for Liverpool target

Bayern Munich have reached a €30m (£25m) agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the signature of Liverpool target Julian Brandt, according to German outlet Bild.

Brandt, 20, was thought to be one of Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer targets this summer as Liverpool prepare a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League and in Europe.

The Germany international is rated among the best young talents in the Bundesliga but is now seemingly on the verge of joining Bayern, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side continue to pluck the best players from their rivals.

Bayern have already wrapped up summer deals for Hoffenheim duo Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy, with Brandt now set to join those as Ancelotti completes his summer business early.

Of players aged 21 and under in Europe’s top five leagues this season, only Borussia Dortmund ace Ousmane Dembele (9) has registered more assists than Brandt (6).
