Manchester United star to reject Real Madrid

Marcus Rashford will reject Real Madrid’s advances to stay at Manchester United, claims The Sun.

Madrid have reportedly been in contact with Rashford’s representatives this season, as they mull a blockbuster summer move for the forward.

Santiago Solari’s side are on the market for Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement and have already been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

Madrid were alerted to Rashford’s potential availability after the England international grew increasingly frustrated under Jose Mourinho.

United sacked Mourinho before Christmas and appointed former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager for the rest of the season.

Solskjaer has won his first three matches in charge and already lifted the dark mood that engulfed the club under Mourinho.

While leaving United was not something Rashford ever seriously considered, the 21-year-old is happy again at the club and will reject any advances from Madrid.

Rashford has been central to Solskjaer’s plans so far and has already rediscovered his best form.

The United No.10 played a direct hand in nine goals in seven Premier League appearances in December (four goals, five assists).
