Manchester City are prepared to sell out of favour goalkeeper Joe Hart to cross-town rivals Manchester United this summer, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The England number one is widely expected to leave City permanently at the end of the season having been loaned out to Serie A outfit Torino.
The Italian side are keen to retain his services, but could be priced out of a move for Hart with a host of Premier League teams eager to sign the 30-year-old.
United have emerged as a possible destination for Hart as they gear up for David De Gea’s possible return to Madrid.
Real Madrid are expected to return for the Spain international at the end of the season having failed to secure De Gea in 2015 due to a dodgy fax machine.
United have been linked with a host of replacements for De Gea, including Samir Handanovic, Jan Oblak and Hugo Lloris, but could move for Hart should Jose Mourinho wish to add some Premier League experience to his defence.
However, United would have to pay up to £31m to sign Hart, who would become the first City play to to join their arch rivals in 21 years.
