Paris Saint-Germain rival Tottenham for young Argentine defender
Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Tottenham target and Estudiantes centre-back Juan Foyth, reports the London Evening Standard.
Tottenham have already held talks with the Argentinean side for the 19-year-old and have reportedly already tabled an initial £5.4m bid plus a further £2.6m in add-ons.
The teenager was part of the Argentina squad that were beaten by England in the Under-20 World Cup this summer and was reportedly keen on moving to London before PSG entered the race.
PSG are in the market for a new centre-back after missing out on former Real Madrid defender Pepe to Besiktas and are now understood to have expressed an interest in Foyth despite the fact he has only made seven league appearances for Estudiantes.
Only Luis Olivera (3) made more tackles per game than Foyth (2.7) in the Argentine Primera División last season.
