Manchester City have emerged as shock admirers of Arsenal forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according The Times.
Pep Guardiola will take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season and has been mooted with moves for some of the biggest players across Europe in recent weeks.
However, the current Bayern Munich manager is reportedly interested in prizing Oxlade-Chamberlain away from Arsenal in the summer after it emerged Arsene Wenger is contemplating selling the England international.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 22, has struggled for form and fitness this season and is currently sidelined for six weeks with knee ligament damage.
The ex-Southampton midfielder has only started nine games in the Premier League this season and has often been overlooked on the right wing for Aaron Ramsey and Joel Campbell this season.
