Watford striker attracting Premier League interest

Manchester United have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign Watford striker Odion Ighalo, reports the Sunday Mirror via the Sunday People.

The Nigeria international has impressed in his debut campaign in England's top tier, netting 14 goals and registering a further three assists.

The goals, however, have dried up recently for Ighalo, who has scored just one goal in 10 top-flight appearances in 2016.

That, though, has not discouraged United from making a move for the 26-year-old, with the Manchester side keen on strengthing their attack when the current campaign draws to a close.

However, United would have to part ways with £20m if they are to convince the Hornets to sell their prized asset this summer.

Arsenal are also reportedly keen on Ighalo, but United have the upper hand with the player himself recently admitting it would be a "dream" to play for them.
