Aritz Aduriz has penned a fresh one-year extension to his current contract, tying him to Athletic until 2017.
The experienced frontman has started the season brightly, netting four goals in seven league appearances.
Aduriz quickly became a key player with the Basque side when he signed from Valencia in 2012 and has improved with each passing season.
As such, Athletic were keen to retain his services, with his WhoScored rating (7.13) the second best for the La Liga side.
