Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City to add Arsenal forward Theo Walcott to their summer shortlist, according to the London Evening Standard.
Walcott, 27, has dropped down the pecking order at Arsenal since the turn of the year and there have been suggestions Arsene Wenger is willing to part ways with the England international in the summer.
However, the versatile forward has emerged as a shock target for incoming City boss, Guardiola, who has instructed his new club to keep a tab on Walcott’s situation ahead of the summer.
Walcott’s last start in a league game came way back at the end of February (vs Manchester United) and he has only managed three league goals since the start of October.
