Milan secure third summer signing as Wolfsburg star signs

AC Milan’s transfer activity continues with the addition of Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez, who the club have confirmed has completed a move.

The Swiss international becomes the rossoneri’s third signing of the summer already, joining Mateo Musacchio and Franck Kessie through the doors at San Siro.

The 24-year-old has been on the wish list of the Serie A outfit for some time and reportedly agreed to terms over a move some time ago, with a fee to pay to Wolfsburg proving the stumbling block.

Calcio Mercato suggests that Milan have parted with an initial fee of €15m with another €3m in potential add-ons.

Rodriguez spent much of the previous campaign fielded out of position in a back three, limiting his offensive output for which he had made a name for himself. A switch back to a more familiar left-back role is to be expected from a player that registered 24 assists following a move to the Bundesliga in 2011.
