Manchester United midfielder secures £10m move away

 

Manchester United have confirmed Marouane Fellaini has secured a £10m move to Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng.

 

Fellaini, who is currently on the mend from a calf injury, has the spent the last five-and-a-half years at United following a £28m move from Everton.

 

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away in the past and has finally secured a big-money move to China.

 

Fellaini, who only signed a new two-year deal with United last summer, will reportedly become one of the best-paid players in the world with Shandong Luneng.

The 31-year-old was previously on £120,000-a-week at United but will now pocket wages in the region of £365,000-a-week over the course of a three-year deal in China.

 

Shandong Luneng finished third in the Chinese Super League last season and boast former Southampton striker Graziano Pelle as their highest profile player prior to Fellaini’s arrival.

 

Since the start of last season, United have a better win ratio in the Premier League when Fellaini has not started (62.7%) compared to when he has featured from the off (54.5%).
