Real Madrid have decided Gareth Bale will be sold at the end of the season as Florentino Perez plots wholesale changes to the squad, claims Marca.
Bale will have spent five years at Madrid come the end of the season but the Wales international has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League throughout his time at the club.
Manchester United failed to prise Bale back to England in recent summers and may now consider another move for the 28-year-old with Madrid finally ready to sell.
Bale has struggled to stay fit for prolonged periods during the last few years and was not picked to start in the first leg of Madrid’s last 16 Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain last week.
Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez were even picked ahead of Bale in Wednesday’s 3-1 win away to Leganes as the Welshman’s time in Spain appears to be coming to an end.
Bale has scored six goals in 10 league starts this season, garnering a WhoScored rating of 7.59 when factoring in starts alone.
