Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Draxler offered to Tottenham
Julian Draxler has been offered to Tottenham as a potential replacement for wantaway midfielder Christian Eriksen, claims The Daily Mirror.
Eriksen has confirmed he wants a new challenge and Real Madrid are keen on his signature this summer.
The Denmark international has one year left to run on his existing contract and Tottenham are reportedly demanding in excess of £80m.
Tottenham have already had a club record bid rebuffed by Real Betis for Giovani Lo Celso and they have now been offered a cheaper alternative in Draxler.
The Germany international has failed to nail down a regular starting berth since joining PSG from Wolfsburg in January 2017.
PSG spent a reported £35.5m to sign the 25-year-old and just want to recoup their initial investment to sell him this summer.
Pochettino is not currently considering Draxler as a serious alternative to Eriksen and the midfielder’s wages could be a problem for Tottenham.
Draxler has played a direct hand in 19 goals in 61 league appearances for PSG (seven, 12 assists).
