La Liga midfielder tops West Ham’s summer plans

West Ham United have made Levante midfielder Victor Camarasa one of their top transfer targets in the summer, according to The Independent.

Camarasa, 21, has emerged as a first-team regular in the last two seasons at the La Liga strugglers and his performances have seemingly caught the eye of Slaven Bilic.

With Levante rock bottom of La Liga, Rubi’s side will be forced to sell the Spain Under-21 international should they fail to ensure their top-flight status, with West Ham confident of picking up the midfielder for as little as £3m.

According to the report, Stoke City expressed an interest in the midfielder during the transfer window last month before eventually signing Gianelli Imbula from Porto.

Camarasa has an eye for goal from distance, with only one other Levante player recording more shots from outside the box than Camarasa in the league this season (16).
