West Brom manager Tony Pulis has rekindled his interest in Watford captain Troy Deeney and hopes to secure his services this summer, reports The Daily Mirror.
Pulls is keen to bolster his offensive options at the end of the season after watching his West Brom attack struggle in front of goal in the final third of the season.
The Baggies tried to sign Deeney last summer before watching the 28-year-old sign a new five-year deal at the start of July but the England striker has endured a mixed season under new manager Walter Mazzarri.
Deeney’s status as a key player for Watford has diminished this season and West Brom are hopeful they can prize away the unsettled striker by offering him a route back to the Midlands, where he is from.
The Watford No.9 has scored 23 goals in two Premier League campaigns with the Hornets, at least seven more than any other teammate in that time.
