Fenerbahce president confirms failed attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet
Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim has revealed the club bid for Borussia Dortmund youngster Emre Mor but the Bundesliga side wanted him to join Inter.
Mor is on the verge of joining Inter on a season-long loan deal with option to make the switch permanent after failing to make any impression at Dortmund in his 12 months at the club.
The 20-year-old is highly thought of on the continent and Yildirim has revealed he wanted to bring Mor back to his homeland, only for their loan offer to be rebuffed.
“We made a bid for the lad,” he told Haberturk, via Football Italia. “It was €2m for the loan, with €8m to be paid for the subsequent buyout.
“Borussia refused though, because they’re pushing the lad to go to Inter. Why? I know the Germans wanted some Nerazzurri players.”
