Atletico Madrid open to offers for French striker

Atletico Madrid are already willing to part ways with summer signing Kevin Gameiro despite the fact he netted a hat-trick from the bench on Saturday, claims The Daily Mirror.

Diego Simeone’s side shelled out £35m for his services at the start of the season but Gameiro has struggled to live up to the price tag thus far and could already be on the verge of leaving.

The Atletico manager has chopped and changed between partnering Fernando Torres and Gameiro alongside star man Antoine Griezmann all summer and the La Liga giants could potentially lose all three at the end of the season – a situation that is unlikely.

With Gamerio not living up to expectation, Torres’ existing deal is also due to expire at the end of the season and Griezmann is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

The former Sevilla striker’s hat-trick at the weekend came in the space of four minutes and 45 seconds, which marks the quickest treble since Bebeto’s three-goal haul for Deportivo La Coruna against Albacete 22 years ago.
