Tottenham full-back agrees contract extension

 

Tottenham have announced via their official twitter account that youngster Kyle Walker-Peters has extended his contract at the club.

 

The 20-year-old has penned a new deal that will keep him at Spurs until 2020 having made his senior debut for the club in the Premier League this season.

 

Walker-Peters started the season opener against Newcastle in the absence of the injured Kieran Trippier and impressed, hoping to push for more regular playing time following the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

 

That may rely upon whether the club can secure a deal for top target Serge Aurier, who is believed to be closing in on a move and would add further competition in the academy graduate’s favoured right-back position.
