Robert Snodgrass due for West Ham medical

West Ham have won the race to sign Robert Snodgrass and should complete a deal to sign the Hull City star by the weekend, reports The Daily Mail.

Snodgrass, 29, hasn’t featured in either of Hull’s last two matches amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs as he looks to force a move away from the Premier League strugglers.

The Scotland international has 18 months left to run on his current deal at the KCOM Stadium and rejected Hull’s offer of a new deal at the turn of the year, which prompted interest from a number of Premier League rivals.

Burnley had a £10m bid for the Hull No.10 accepted during the weekend before West Ham matched their bid and Snodgrass has decided to move to London and will undergo a medical with the Hammers before finalising the move.

It is a huge blow for Marco Silva’s side, who have already lost Jake Livermore to West Brom for £10m this month, as they look to beat the drop this season. Snodgrass has played a direct hand in at least four more goals than any other Hull player in the Premier League this season (10), while only the goals scored of two players have won their side more points than Snodgrass (7 points earned).
