Nigeria international happy at Leicester amidst rumours of Arsenal interest

Wilfred Ndidi has admitted he is enjoying himself at Leicester despite reports linking the Nigeria international with a big money move to Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The tough tackling midfielder has been a key performer in the middle of the park for the Foxes, who currently sit third in the Premier League.

His good performances haven't gone unnoticed either, with Arsenal monitoring his situation at the King Power Stadium, while Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.

However, despite rumours linking him with a summer move away from the Foxes, Ndidi insists he is happy at Leicester.

"We are doing well and I am enjoying myself here," Ndidi told ESPN.

"I still have a contract with Leicester. I am learning and trying to improve myself every day and I am doing okay here so no need to go anywhere."

Ndidi admits that a key reason for Leicester's success this season has been down to 'the Brendan Rodgers effect', with the youngster adding: "It's the Brendan Rodgers effect. With him, it is not just about the eleven players and subs. Even the players in the under 23, he carries everybody along.

"So there is always space for anybody to fill in and to play. He is that kind of coach that always believes in the squad and not just one player. The main thing is the squad, the squad comes first.

"That is why we are doing very well, because we understand that we must always try our best. Where we are is because we work hard and try to improve all.

"There have been ups and downs, and there are still games after the lockdown and there are more points for us to try and get. For now, we are in a good position."

Ndidi has garnered a solid WhoScored rating of 7.36 in the Premier League this season having made an impressive 152 tackles and interceptions combined.
