Manchester United star Paul Pogba has denied he has a problem with manager Jose Mourinho.
Pogba has fallen out of favour under Mourinho in recent months and has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Mourinho has been heavily critical of Pogba’s performances of late and there were suggestions he would sell the France international in the summer.
However, Pogba insists there is no rift with Mourinho and he is not thinking about leaving at the end of the season.
“It’s true [being benched] has never happened to me, but it can strengthen me,” he told Telefoot. “You have to go through these periods to make you stronger.
“There is no problem with Mourinho. It’s not me who picks the team. As the coach if you want to know why I play less. I respect his choices.
“Neymar? I said I dream of playing with him, [Lionel] Messi or Cristiano [Ronaldo], but that doesn’t mean that I want to move clubs.”
Pogba was reinstated to the United starting XI in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Swansea. The 25-year-old has only started four of United’s last 10 matches in all competitions and hasn’t scored in his last 21 appearances for the Red Devils. In fact, six Premier League managers have been sacked in that time.
