West Brom launch stunning bid for former Tottenham midfielder

West Brom have offered Hull City £10m for versatile midfielder Jake Livermore, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Livermore, 27, has been one of few ever-presents in the Hull team this season that has been blighted by injuries in their struggle to beat the drop.

Tony Pulis is gearing up for a busy conclusion to the January transfer window and has earmarked the signature of a new central midfielder to help maintain their fine start to the campaign.

West Brom have already missed out of signing Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United this month and have now turned their attentions to one of Hull’s best players.

The Tigers will not want to lose Livermore, who has started in 20 Premier League matches this season but an offer of £10m for someone who has 18 months left on their current deal may prove too good to turn down.

Of players to have started in more than one Premier League match for Hull this season only Ryan Mason (83.3%) has a better pass success rate than Livermore (85%).
