Liverpool midfielder Fabinho makes decision on Paris Saint-Germain interest

Liverpool summer signing Fabinho has refuted suggestions he is keen to leave after six months amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Jurgen Klopp’s side signed Fabinho from Monaco in a shock £40m deal in the summer but the Brazil international has endured a difficult start to life at Anfield.

Despite representing one of few Liverpool players that had a full pre-season, Fabinho has not made the start many expected and been forced to be patient for his first-team opportunities.

PSG are reportedly monitoring Fabinho’s future at Liverpool and are keen to prise the midfielder back to France as early as January.

Klopp has already slammed any suggestions he is open to the idea of selling Fabinho and now the 25-year-old has denied claims he is unhappy on Merseyside.

“I was told there was something in the press, but I never said I would like to leave Liverpool,” Fabinho told UOL.

“I knew I would need to have patience and wait for my moment. I am happy at Liverpool. There is no reason for me to leave.

Fabinho didn’t make his Liverpool debut until mid-September, incidentally as a late substitute against PSG in the Champions League.

The Brazilian has only started four Premier League games this season after struggling to usurp the likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum in midfield.
