Inter midfielder closes in on Valencia switch

Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is on the verge of securing a loan move to Spanish giants Valencia, reports Gianluca Di Marzio, via Get French Football.

Kondogbia has spent the last two seasons at Inter after completing a stunning £25m move from Monaco in 2015 but the box-to-box midfielder has failed to establish himself in Italy.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have strengthened their midfield options further this summer and now Kondogbia is free to leave the Serie A side in search of regular first-team football.

Kondogbia is now reportedly on the cusp of securing a season-long loan switch to Valencia, which, in turn, would see Tottenham target Joao Cancelo move the other way.

Of players that have attempted at least 100 dribbles in the last two Serie A campaigns, only one other player has a better dribble success rate than Kondogbia (75.4%).
