Arsenal have made a £2m bid for Bolton defender Rob Holding, according to BBC Sport.
Holding, 20, was part of the England Under-21 squad that won the Toulon tournament in the summer and his performances for Bolton last season have seemingly caught the eye of Arsene Wenger.
The rookie central defender was named Bolton player of the year at the end of the campaign despite only breaking into the first team in December.
Of players that made at least 20 appearances in the Championship last season, only three made more interceptions per game than Holding (3.3).
