Harry Kane and Tottenham have agreed to put on-going contract talks on hold throwing his long-term future at the club into doubt, according to The Sun.
The 23-year-old only signed a five-year deal in February 2015 but has been in fresh talks as rival clubs continue to be linked with the Tottenham ace.
However, Tottenham are reportedly unwilling to match Kane’s demand to be paid similarly to his England international teammates, while Daniel Levy is also not looking to make the striker the club’s highest paid player.
With Moussa Sissoko reportedly on a staggering £95,000-a-week, Kane’s patience could be tested on his current £60,000-a-week salary.
In the last three Premier League campaigns only Sergio Aguero (58) has scored more goals than Kane (49).
