Manchester City ready astonishing move for key Chelsea man
Manchester City are lining up a British club record £150m move for Chelsea sensation Eden Hazard, reports the Sunday Mirror.
Hazard has been arguably Chelsea’s best player this season, with his WhoScored rating (7.76) better than any other Blues performer in the Premier League.
However, Real Madrid are keen on the Belgian as Zinedine Zidane looks to bolster his squad, though Los Blancos could face competition from City with Pep Guardiola aiming to strengthen his attack.
The Spaniard has reportedly made the 27-year-old his number one summer target after missing out to rivals Manchester United for Alexis Sanchez.
Chelsea are hoping to convince Hazard to pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge, with his current contract running until 2020, though a stand off between player and club means interested parties are circling.
Hazard has completed 97 dribbles in the Premier League this season, more than any other player, but is not expected to start when Chelsea host Newcastle in the FA Cup this afternoon.
