Paris Saint-Germain are pushing ahead with a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and are willing to use Alphonse Areola as a makeweight, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
The French champions are on the market for a new goalkeeper after confirming Gianluigi Buffon’s departure earlier this month.
It was thought PSG would move for Manchester United ace David de Gea but now Thomas Tuchel’s side are prioritising a move for Donnarumma.
The Italy international has two years left to run on his current Milan deal and is not interested in renewing with his boyhood club.
Milan are also willing to sell the 20-year-old in order to ease their Financial Fair Play [FFP] woes and hope to command in the region of €50m (£44.8m) for his services.
Super agent Mino Raiola represents both Donnarumma and Areola and is keen for both goalkeepers to be included in a deal.
It remains to be seen whether Areola would accept a move to Milan, as the Serie A outfit are not in the Champions League and are trying to get banned from the Europa League.
Donnarumma remarkably has four full seasons of top-flight football under his belt at the age of 20. In that time, the Milan shot-stopper third for both clean sheets (45) and saves (420).
