Barcelona are considering a summer move for Gianluigi Buffon, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.
Buffon will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of the month.
The 41-year-old is not expected to retire this summer and is now being considered for a shock move by Barcelona.
Barcelona are listening to offers for second choice goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen and will need to find a replacement for the Netherlands international.
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will still be Barcelona’s first choice goalkeeper but Buffon will be there to provide competition.
It remains to be seen whether Buffon will accept spending what could be his last season as a professional on the bench.
Buffon rotated in goal with Alphonse Areola at PSG last season and it did the veteran’s performances no favours.
Only Walter Benitez (79.5%) had a better save success rate than Buffon (77.3%) in Ligue 1 last season.
