Juventus have handed Daniele Rugani a one-year extension binding him to the club until 2020, reports Football Italia.
Rugani, 21, has only featured seven times in the league this season and there had been concerns in his camp that his career was in danger of stalling at Juventus.
However, having been given assurances from Massimiliano Allegri and general manager Giuseppe Marotta that he remains in their long-term plans, Rugani has agreed to extend his stay in Turin.
Juventus have kept a clean sheet in five of the seven games in which Rugani has featured in the league this season, and the young central defender is yet to taste defeat this season.
