Paris Saint-Germain set to land Manchester United target
Paris Saint-Germain have won the race to sign highly-rated Benfica forward Goncalo Guedes, according to BeIN Sports, via Get French Football.
Guedes, 20, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Portuguese giants all season and has been on the radar of a number of Europe’s biggest clubs for some time.
The Portugal international is reportedly on United manager Jose Mourinho’s list of transfer targets but the Premier League outfit look set to miss out on his signature with PSG poised to land the talented forward.
Unai Emery’s side have already signed Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg during the January transfer window but are determined to keep bolstering their squad as they look to close down Monaco’s current three-point advantage and salvage their season.
PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert has been determined to add a second striker to the squad in provide cover for Edinson Cavani and the reigning Ligue 1 champions appear to have finally found their man.
Guedes has only scored two goals in 16 league appearances this season, while he has been fouled more times than any other Benfica player in the league this term (41).
