Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain talks over Alli intensify

Dele Alli has not trained with Tottenham this week as talks over a potential loan move to Paris Saint-Germain gather pace, claims The Daily Telegraph.

Alli has dropped completely out of favour under Jose Mourinho this season and wants to join PSG where he would reunite with former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The 24-year-old has managed only 164 minutes of playing time in the Premier League this season and has only made the matchday squad seven times from 18 matches.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is finally ready to let Alli leave the club this month but Mourinho will only sanction the deal if they sign a replacement.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move to re-sign Christian Eriksen from Inter just 12 months after he made the switch to the Serie A outfit.

Inter transfer listed Eriksen at the start of January but would only let him leave if his eye-watering £300,000-a-week wages were covered in full.

Antonio Conte announced on Tuesday night Eriksen has now been taken off the transfer list after scoring a stunning winner against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.

Reuniting Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard with Mourinho at Tottenham has previously been suggested but the England international looks more likely to join West Ham on loan.

PSG will have no option to buy Alli at the end of the season if they do manage to prise him away from Tottenham before the window shuts on Monday.
