Real Madrid slap £85m valuation on Manchester United target
Real Madrid are running out of patience with Gareth Bale’s injury woes and will let their record signing leave for £85m at the end of the season, reports The Daily Mirror.
Bale is set for another spell on the sidelines after Madrid announced on Friday that the 28-year-old suffered a thigh injury in training after skipping international duty to work on his fitness.
The Wales international has missed Madrid’s last eight matches through injury and now the reigning European champions are ready to sell the forward if they can recoup the full £85m they spent to sign him in 2013.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the former Tottenham winger in the past and Jose Mourinho’s side will be the frontrunners for his signature at the end of the season.
Since joining Madrid, Bale has been limited to starts in just over half of their league matches (58.9%).
