Barcelona have identified Steven N’Zonzi as a possible target as the search for a backup for Sergio Busquets, reports Goal.com.
Busquets has established himself as a key man for the defending La Liga champions, but the club feel he needs a sufficient stand in should he be absent for any reason.
Sevilla, however, are loath to letting the Frenchman leave, with his WhoScored rating (7.19) the third best of all players at the club this season.
N’Zonzi’s current release clause is set at €30m, with his contract keeping him at the Pizjuan until 2019, but Sevilla are hoping to tie him down to a new long-term contract in the coming months.
