Paris Saint-Germain eye AC Milan star

Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez but will need to increase their €40m offer, claims Tuttosport.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have been one of the busiest clubs in Europe this summer as they bid to reclaim their Ligue 1 title next season.

PSG have already signed Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Gini Wijnaldum and will soon announce the arrival of Gigio Donnarumma on a free transfer from Milan.

Pochettino's side won't stop there with a new left-back their priority following Mitchel Bakker's transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.

Juan Bernat is still recovering from a long-term knee injury leaving PSG thin on the ground at left-back entering the new season.

The French giants have earmarked Hernandez as their primary transfer target for that position but Milan are ready to dig their heels in.

PSG's €40m (£34.1m) offer has already been flat out rejected by Milan, who are no doubt eyeing a similar price to what their French counterparts paid rivals Inter for Hakimi.

Hakimi completed a move to PSG earlier this week worth up to €70m and there is no doubt Milan value Hernandez similarly.

Hernandez emerged as one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe last season after scoring seven goals and providing five assists in Serie A.

Moreover, only Javi Galan (121) completed more dribbles than Hernandez (73) of all defenders in Europe's top 5 leagues last season.
