Christian Eriksen is set to sign for Premier League side Brentford in the next 72 hours, reports the Mirror.
The Dane hasn't played since suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's defeat to Finland at Euro 2020.
Eriksen and Inter mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Italian side last year as Serie A rules stipulate that no player cannot play in the league due to the presence of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, which he had implanted after his cardiac arrest last summer.
The 29-year-old had been training with former side Ajax, sparking rumours that he was set to return to the Dutch side, but Brentford are close to confirming his capture.
Eriksen enjoyed plenty of success with Tottenham following is 2013 arrival from Ajax prior to his switch to Inter in January 2020 and Brentford are hoping he can help lift them away from danger.
Brentford fell to a fourth successive league defeat on Saturday, with a 2-1 loss at the hands of Wolves leaving them just eight points above the drop zone.
