Stoke City are expected to complete a deal to sign Xherdan Shaqiri in the next 48 hours after the Inter forward passed his medical ahead of a £12m deal, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Shaqiri has reportedly already agreed terms to become Stoke’s record signing and was pictured in the stands during the Potters 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Mark Hughes’ side failed to sign the 23-year-old earlier in the summer, but have successfully revived the deal, with the Switzerland international set to become Stoke’s ninth signing of the summer.
Shaqiri has struggled to make an impact at club level since impressing during the World Cup in 2014, where no player averaged more key passes per game than the Swiss forward (4.3).
