Swansea interested in City forward

Swansea are prepared to shell out £16m to re-sign Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, according to The Daily Mirror.

Bony, 28, has failed to make any impact at City since making the near-£30m switch in January last year and isn’t expected to feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans next season.

West Ham have previously been linked with the Ivory Coast international but Swansea are now looking to bring the powerful striker back to the Liberty City Stadium.

Bony has only managed six league goals in 36 league appearances for City in his 18 months at the club. Of players to have made at least 15 appearances in the Premier League in that time, no player has required fewer minutes per shot off target than Bony (44.7 mins).
