Southampton will sent scouts to watch Rubin Kazan youngster Elmir Nabiullin against Bordeaux in the Europa League on Thursday, according to the Daily Mirror.
Nabiullin, 20, is developing into a regular fixture for Valeriy Chaly’s side and his performances right up the left-flank are beginning to court interest from around Europe.
Saints are seemingly leading the Premier League charge for the Russia international, but they reportedly face interest from clubs in Germany.
Of players aged under 21, only three players average more interceptions per game in the Europa League this season than Nabiullin (4).
