Manchester United have added Porto defender Eder Militao to their growing list of defensive transfer targets, claims The Daily Record.
Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his defensive options over the next two transfer options but would prefer to sign experience over talent.
The United manager lamented the club’s decision not to sign a new centre-back in the summer and Mourinho’s defence have struggled this season.
Porto only signed Militao from Brazilian side Sao Paulo in August but the 20-year-old has thoroughly impressed during his maiden European campaign.
Militao made his Brazil debut in September and Porto believe they will make significantly more on his sale than the €4m they paid in the summer.
The youngster has started every Champions League game for Porto this season and seven league matches.
He won the WhoScored Man of the Match award four times in 13 league appearances for Sao Paulo prior to his move to Porto.
Militao made all of his appearances for Sao Paulo at right-back this season but has transitioned well at centre-back for Porto.
