Chelsea enter the race for Manchester City target

Chelsea are the latest Premier League side to express an interest in Juventus right-back Dani Alves, reports Sky Italia, via Sky Sports.

The 34-year-old has told Juventus he wants to leave the club after one season at the club and has been heavily linked with a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer.

Reports have even emerged suggesting City have agreed a two-year deal with Alves and Guardiola's side will reportedly pay Juventus £5m for the Brazil international.

However, no deal has been made official and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is also keen to sign the veteran full-back as he looks to find an upgrade on Victor Moses.

Chelsea have already failed with a bid for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro and now appear to be trying their luck with his teammate.

After a difficult start to life in Italy, Alves established himself as a key player for Juventus in the second half of the season and reiterated his class during their European run to the Champions League final.

In fact, the former Barcelona defender scored or assisted seven goals in 12 appearances in the Champions League and finished the campaign in the WhoScored team of the season.
