The agent of Gareth Bale has furiously denied suggestions his client will be sold by Real Madrid this summer.
Bale has endured a nightmare season with injuries and appears to have dropped down the pecking order this season.
Madrid are reportedly plotting a complete overhaul of their offensive options in the summer and Bale has been tipped to leave.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the Wales international in recent summers but his agent, Jonathan Barnett, has rubbished claims he will be sold.
“Gareth is a Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid and Real Madrid love Gareth,” he told ESPN. “All this talk about leaving is written by reporters who have no idea what is going on and who need to write something and don’t care if it is true or not.”
Bale started Sunday’s Madrid derby but is expected to drop back to the bench when Madrid take on Juventus on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old has alarmingly only managed 36 minutes of playing time across Madrid’s last three Champions League matches.
Despite limited playing time, Bale has scored six goals in his last five matches for club and country and picked up the WhoScored Man of the Match award in each of his last two appearances.
