Everton are pondering a £17m move for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, according to The Liverpool Echo.
Replacing Tim Howard is one of Ronald Koeman’s most important jobs at Goodison Park and the Dutchman has earmarked Schmeichel as one of many possible candidates to fill the American’s gloves.
The 29-year-old was one of Leicester’s star performers in their title winning campaign last season and his performances even saw him linked with a shock move to Barcelona at one stage.
Only Petr Cech (16) kept more clean sheets in the Premier League last season than Schmeichel (15).
